I am shocked by the Supreme Court's decision, which will allow auto insurance companies even more freedom to raise rates on our residents without any rhyme or reason. In these tough times when families here in Wayne County and across the state are struggling just to make ends meet, we must make sure that insurance companies are giving folks a fair shake. That's why I will keep fighting to protect Michigan's drivers by holding insurance companies accountable and requiring them to provide our residents with fair and affordable rates that are based on factors like a person's driving record, not irrelevant ones like their credit score.
